Gilling West Fly Fishers
Protecting the fishery
Members can help protect Gilling Beck by reporting suspicious fishing activity safely and accurately.
Anyone fishing GWFF water must have permission to fish there and must also hold any rod fishing licence required by law. Fishing without the necessary permission should be reported rather than confronted.
If you see suspicious activity, make a note of the location, time, people involved, vehicle details and any other useful information, but do not put yourself at risk.
Your safety comes first. Observe from a safe distance and avoid escalating a situation.
Note the exact location, time, description of people and vehicles, and what you observed.
Use the appropriate police route if you believe a crime is taking place or there is an immediate risk to safety.
Let Club Admin know about suspected illegal fishing or other concerns affecting GWFF water.
